Day 1 (Wednesday): Arrival Paris   (No Meal)

Upon arrival, the local guide will meet you at airport then transfer to hotel. (Free airport transfer: 07:00am to 22:00pm) other timing top-up $30/person

 

 

Day 2: (Thursday): Paris - Avignon  

Morning departure from Paris, coach travels towards the southeast to the home of world famous French Provence: The climate changes in the Provence region is very unusual from a charming summer to a cooling sea breeze. The rolling hills go up and down, meandering into the lively city. Most well-known is the lingering scent of lavender, thyme, and pine fragrances. We stay in Avignon or nearby cities.

 

Day 3 (Friday): Avignon – Gordes - Abbey Senanque - Avignon

After breakfast, we start with a city tour of Avignon. Avignon is surrounded by ancient architecture; the Papal Palace (Palais des Papes) and Pont Saint-Benezet (the Pont d’Avignon). In the fourteenth century the Palace was built and is Europe's largest and most important medieval Gothic architecture. We walk along the walls to see the Pont d’Avignon, listed as a world cultural heritage bridge. Afternoon we continue to visit Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in France, where many Movies Stars and Artists have made their home. Also known as "hanging village”, Gordes is perched on the southern edge of the high Plateau de Vaucluse. The stone formations built against the base of the cliffs and rocks above are made of a unique beige stone that glows orange in the morning sun.

Our next stop, the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque is a lovely medieval Cistercian abbey, one of the best places to see Provence's famed lavender fields, founded in 1148 the peaceful abbey welcomes visitors who enjoy the lavender bloom. Overnight stay in Avignon or nearby cities. (Note: Lavender season is generally from mid-June to early August, and thus experience of the lavender fields bloom is seasonal.)

 

Day 4 (Saturday): Avignon – Arles - Barcelona

After breakfast we visit Van Gogh's famous home of Arles. Listed as key destination due to the presence of Roman ruins, the town is most famous for Van Gogh’s stay here in the local sanatorium from 1888 - 1889 where he was at his creative peak. About two hundred oil paintings, well-known master pieces such as “Bedroom in Arles” “Starry Night over the Rhône", “Still Life: Vase with Twelve Sunflowers” were created here.

We continue by coach along the Mediterranean Sea to enter Spain where we arrive in Barcelona in the evening. Day 5 (Sunday): Barcelona

After breakfast, we explore Barcelona’s city: the Columbus monument, La Rambla, followed by one of the architectural miracles built by the poet Gaudi: The Sagrada Familia. The city tour continues to the Barcelona Olympic stadium (Estadi Olimpic), venue to the 1992 Olympic Games. Its hillside location guarantees a panoramic view over the entire city. In the late afternoon we visit the bustling Plaça de Catalunya, where we have leisure time to shop, taste and discover the local culture. Sit and relax at the square near the fountains; pretty by day but equally stunning at night. Overnight stay in Barcelona or nearby cities. (Please kindly note, due to limit access control and ticket sales in Sagrada Família Church due to limit daily visit tourist, to avoid disappointment, we recommend customer to online booking ticket for who strongly request to visit this palace. Day6 (Monday): Barcelona Andorra - Lourdes

After breakfast we leave Barcelona to visit Andorra, this miniature country lies between France and Spain and is in the Pyrenees with a total area of 468 square km of mountain terrain at an average altitude of 1996 meters. The beautiful scenery makes it a popular European ski resort for locals and because of its tax-free status, Andorra has become a shopper’s paradise. Afternoon we travel along the Pyrenees to France where we visit the famous shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. Overnight stay in Lourdes or nearby cities.

 

Day 7 (Tuesday): Lourdes- Bordeaux

After breakfast, we travel along the Pyrenees to France where we visit the famous shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. Every year more than 5 million pilgrims visit Lourdes for spiritual and physical healing by the Holy Virgin. Even non-believers will find awe in the beautiful surroundings and peaceful natural landscape. In the afternoon coach departs to the French epicentre of fine wines, Bordeaux. Upon arrival, we visit Bordeaux’s World Heritage site, Place des Quinconces (The Quince Tree Square), the second largest square in Europe. The monument in the centre commemorates the Girondists who fell victim of the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution. Our itinerary continues with a visit to the famous wineries. Why not experience a tasting of Bordeaux wine or do a tour of the vineyard?

Overnight stay in Bordeaux or nearby cities. (Note: Most wineries in Bordeaux close for visitors in August. In this case we shall visit wine vendors in downtown Bordeaux where wine tastings and wines can be purchased.)

 

Day 8 (Wednesday): Bordeaux – Chambord - Paris

We depart after breakfast, north to the world-famous Loire Valley. The Loire is France's longest river, flowing along some 280 kilometers. Along the Loire stand magnificent and beautiful 16th century castles, each more stunning than the other. Once a holiday resort for the wealthy, "Overwhelming" was monarch François I's aim for this region. He invited artists from Italy, such as Leonardo da Vinci and others, and by commissioning their art laid the foundation for the French Renaissance. Chambord is what French people regard as their national treasurs, and was added to the World Heritage List in 1981. After we drive back to Paris arriving in the evening around 7.30 pm at our destination.

 

Day 9 (Thursday): Paris Departure

Breakfast at hotel, free program until pick up time for transfer to airport for your flight back.

(Due to UEFA European Championship in Paris from 5 June to 15 July 2016. All overnight tour accommodation in Paris ONLY will incur a supplement of SGD50 per person per night)

早上起程从巴黎乘旅游巴士出发前往,傍晚时分进入普罗旺斯的心脏地区阿维农;普罗旺斯极富变化,拥有魅力万种风情,时而暖风和煦、时而海风旷野,地势跌岩起伏、平原广阔、峰岭险峻,蜿蜒的山脉和活波的都会,全在这个法国大地上演绎;而最令人神怡是它的空氣中總是充滿了薰衣草、百里香、松樹等香氣,這種獨特的自然香氣是別處無法體驗。住宿︰阿維農鄰近城市之酒店

 

第3天(星期五):阿维农 Avignon →葛德Gordes→ 塞南克修道院Abbaye de Senanque →阿维农  早餐酒店内

早上起程前往遊覽阿維農市內,阿維農被古城牆包圍,是一座保存完整的舊城。不可錯過的就是教皇宮和斷橋 (聖貝內澤橋),十四世紀時羅馬教廷曾在法王支持下遷都至此,阿維農順理成章地成了第二教都。教皇宮建於1334年,是歐洲最大及最重要的中世紀哥德式建築;沿城牆走即可看到聖貝內澤斷橋,是被列入世界文化遺產的橋樑。午後前往梅爾《山居歲月》中令人嚮往的葛德城,此城又名石頭城。葛德意思為「高懸的村子」,因像懸掛在天空又得名「天空之城」,是法國最美的村鎮之一,整座岩石山城的建築物都是建於中世紀,皆由石灰岩乾板石疊砌建而成。遊畢前往塞南克修道院,修道院前的薰衣草花田雖不是普羅旺斯地區最大的,但也是《山居歲月》一書的故事背景,更是普羅旺斯地標性的景點。住宿︰阿維農或鄰近城市之酒店 (特別說明:普羅旺斯每年的薰衣草季節一般是在六月中旬至八月上旬,受氣候及地勢影響,薰衣草的生長及收割期各區有所不同,為了令團友欣賞到最美的景色,不排除會略為調整行程配合觀景。薰衣草花海是季節性自然景觀,非薰衣草季節,是無法欣賞到紫海花田的景色,行程將改往參觀薰衣草博物館,敬請理解及注意。)

 

第4天(星期六):阿维农 Avignon →亚耳 Arles →巴塞罗那Barcelona   早餐酒店内

早上起程前往因梵谷而聞名的小城亞耳。亞耳從古羅馬時期開始就被列為重點城市,也因此到現在還留有不少古羅馬遺跡,而這座小城又因梵谷而增添了幾分色彩。雖然梵谷在此地的療養院只居住了短短一年 (1888~1889),但那一年是他創作的高峰期,約創作了二百多幅油畫,最有名的當屬「朗盧橋和洗衣婦」及「星空下的咖啡館」。趕緊追著梵谷的足跡,到朗盧橋及咖啡館感受梵谷畫中的亞耳吧!遊罷旅遊巴士沿地中海穿過西南法,進入法國西班牙交界,越境後朝西班牙加泰隆尼亞省府著名海岸城市巴塞隆拿方向進發。住宿︰巴塞隆那或鄰近城市之酒店

 

第5天(星期日):巴塞罗那Barcelona       早餐酒店内

早上起程遊覽熱情迷人的巴塞隆拿,景點包括哥倫布紀念塔及藍布拉斯大道,繼往巴塞隆拿最有代表性的聖家教堂參觀,此教堂乃有「建築詩人」之稱的建築奇才高迪的曠世傑作;隨後遊覽魯營球場。遊畢轉赴蒙朱伊克山丘上的奧林匹克運動會場參觀,一九九二年奧林匹克運動會曾在此舉行,從山丘上更可俯瞰市區全景。餘下時間到繁華熱鬧的加泰隆尼廣場,這裡商店林立,團友可在此區逛街購物,自由活動。住宿︰巴塞隆拿或鄰近城市之酒店(請注意:聖家教堂由於管制人流及排隊人群眾多,如欲進教堂參觀,建議自行提早在網上預訂門票,預訂進入參觀時間為上午十時至十時半之間,預訂網址http://www.sagradafamilia.org/en/tickets/

 

第6天 (星期一):巴塞罗那Barcelona →安道尔Andorra→ 露德Lourdes     早餐酒店内

早上起程前往安道爾大公國。此袖珍小國位於法國和西班牙交界處,坐落庇利牛斯山脈之間,總面積為468平方公里,境內高山環繞,地形崎嶇,國土平均處於海拔1996公尺,首都安道爾城有歐洲海拔最高首都的稱號。這個一般亞洲旅客不太關注的小國,卻是風景秀麗,更是歐洲人的滑雪渡假勝地,而站在人民廣場可以欣賞周邊壯麗的山谷和山峰。也因為免稅的關係,是遊客最愛血拚的天堂。午後沿著庇里牛斯山脈進入法國,朝著名的聖母朝聖地露德小鎮方向進發。住宿︰露德或鄰近城市之酒店

 

第7天(星期二):露德Lourdes →波尔多 Bordeaux      早餐酒店内

早上起程前往著名的聖母朝聖地露德小鎮,據說150年前聖母瑪利亞在此顯現,此後發生的醫療神蹟不可勝數,每年都有超過500萬人次的朝聖者造訪露德。此鎮被群山環繞,自然景觀也是相當迷人。啟程前往世界葡萄酒中心波爾多。抵達後遊覽波爾多世界文化遺產聖昂德雷大主教教堂及梅花廣場(The Quinconces Square)。梅花廣場是歐洲第二大廣場,為波爾多的城市中心坐標,因廣場兩側樹木種值呈梅花形狀而得名,中心高聳的紀念碑則是追憶在恐怖統治時期受害的吉倫特派成員。來到這葡萄酒鄉參觀酒莊是不容錯過的體驗,行程安排前往著名酒莊參觀,一望無際的葡萄園,展示出波爾多在國際上釀酒的地位。團友可親身接觸釀酒的過程,增廣見聞,對葡萄酒有濃厚興趣的團友更可以在酒莊品嚐及選購。住宿︰波爾多或鄰近城市之酒店。

(特別說明:波爾多大部份酒莊於每年八月份或遇上節日期間是暫停對遊客開放,期間行程將取消參觀酒莊,敬請理解及注意。團友可以在波爾多市區的酒坊購買或品嚐葡萄酒。)

 

第8天 (星期三):波尔多 Bordeaux →香堡 Chambord → 巴黎Paris              早餐酒店内

早上起程前往驅車北上前往世界知名的旅遊景區盧瓦爾河谷。盧瓦爾河被稱為法國的母親河,是法國最長的河流,流程1020公里。河谷兩岸有聞名世界的盧瓦爾城堡群,隨處可見壯麗華美的城堡,約午後抵達有「堡王」稱譽的香波堡,此堡是法國國王弗朗索瓦一世為炫耀皇權及國勢在一五一九年下令興建的狩獵行宮,他從意大利請來了藝術大師達芬奇等人,把意大利文藝復興時期的輝煌藝術和建築風格移植到法國,為法蘭西的文藝復興奠定了基礎。香波堡被法國人視為國寶,一九八一年被列入世界文化遺產名錄。遊畢朝巴黎方向進發,約於晚上七時許抵達花都巴黎。

 

第9天 (星期四):巴黎Paris → 返回        早餐酒店内

酒店早餐后自由活动至约定的时间送往机场,返回温馨家园,结束愉快温馨的行程,下次再会!
